Garage door work in Miami isn’t like garage door work anywhere else. Salt air eats at hardware. Humidity swells wood panels and rusts tracks faster than you’d believe. Torsion springs snap under the daily load of heat-expanded metal. The crew at Brock Garage Doors Miami grew up working in these conditions, and they’ve learned what holds up and what doesn’t. Every one of them lives in Miami-Dade, knows the difference between a Coral Gables carriage door and a 1980s Hialeah track system, and shows up with a written price in hand before touching a single bolt.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Wade Mercer, Owner
Wade started turning wrenches on garage doors in 2001 and hasn’t found a reason to stop. He runs the Miami location day to day, which means he’s the one on the phone when a spring lets go at 2 a.m. and the one who signs off on the written guarantee that goes with every repair. Wade carries factory training certifications for LiftMaster and Genie, and he’s the guy the techs call when a door is doing something the manual doesn’t explain. He’d rather replace a $12 roller and save you a $900 panel swap than sell you work you don’t need. Outside the shop, he’s usually fishing off Black Point and pretending the snapper are biting better than they are.
Luis R., Lead Technician
Luis has been repairing doors in Miami since 2011, and before that he spent five years doing industrial dock doors down by the Port of Miami. If a door won’t lift, he’ll have it diagnosed in under twenty minutes, most calls. Luis holds certification for Chamberlain and Raynor systems, and he handles our heaviest spring work, including the high-cycle torsion springs we recommend on doors that open more than four times a day. He keeps a socket set in his truck that’s older than half the doors he works on, and it’s better organized than most kitchens. On weekends, Luis coaches youth baseball out at Tropical Park.
Danny P., Senior Installer
Danny came to Brock Garage Doors Miami with a carpentry background, which matters more than people think. A new door only runs smooth if the framing is right, the header is level, and the track is set true against a wall that’s drifted over thirty Florida summers. Danny handles our Clopay and Amarr installations, and he’s the one who’ll sit with you and explain why a reinforced door is worth the extra cost if your house faces the bay. He’s been installing full door systems since 2015. Danny is also the fastest caulk-line taper you’ll ever meet, and he’ll re-hang your weather stripping before you notice it was sagging.
Carla T., Service Coordinator
Carla is the voice on the phone when you call Brock Garage Doors Miami, day or night. She’s been scheduling and dispatching for the team since 2018, and she knows the map of Miami-Dade well enough to tell you whether the tech can make it from Kendall to your door in under an hour. Carla is originally a dispatcher for a South Florida plumbing group, so a flooded garage or a busted opener at 6 a.m. doesn’t rattle her. She won’t send a tech out without confirming the written price policy on the phone first, and she’ll tell you straight if we’re backed up. When she isn’t working, she’s restoring a 1970s bungalow in Allapattah with her husband.
Tony S., Apprentice Technician
Tony joined the crew in 2023 after finishing his technical diploma, and he’s in the second year of his training path under Luis and Danny. He is the one who prints the written quote, preps the parts tray, and makes certain the job site gets swept before the truck pulls away. Tony has completed manufacturer training for Chamberlain openers and is working toward his LiftMaster certification later this year. He carries a small notebook in his back pocket. Not for his schedule, for the notes he takes on every door he hasn’t seen before. The kid wants to be a lead tech by thirty, and at the rate he’s going, he’s early.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this crew works to the same rule, and it isn’t a poster on a wall. It’s called The Garrison Code, and it governs the whole operation from beginning to end. A real person answers the phone. The price is written before any work starts. No surprises on the invoice. The job site is left clean. And every repair carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing, signed before the tech leaves your driveway. If a covered repair fails within a year, we come back at no charge. Not as a favor. Not as a negotiation. It’s written on the work order. Wade agreed to build his Miami location inside the Garrison Partners network because it meant local ownership with real accountability behind it. Independent shop, national standard. That is how Miami gets its doors fixed right the first time.
